SMR Hydrogen Plant Hydrogen Generation via Steam Methane Reforming Technology

Ally Hi-Tech provides SMR (steam methane reforming ) technology for small- to large-scale hydrogen plant for hydrogen generation. SMR is an economical way for hydrogen production. By using internal pressure swing adsorption technology to purify the hydrogen, higher purity can be achieved.

During the steam reforming process, the desulfurized hydrocarbon feedstock (NG, refinery tail gas, liquefied petroleum gas or naphtha) is preheated, blended with steam. And then the mixture is pre-reformed before passing the catalyst in the environment of the top-fired steam reformer to produce hydrogen, carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2). CO is turned into other hydrogen and CO2 by steam, and then hydrogen is separated by pressure swing adsorption.
